The Australian Government offers a range of trade services, such as information on grants, publications and contacts for enquiries. This includes:

• Austrade’s trade services for eligible businesses
• trade and investment support from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

Canberra also offers access to organisations with strong links to government and business.

The Canberra Business Chamber, for example, is the voice of industry in Canberra. It’s committed to growing this city and the Canberra region economically.

Inbound trade delegations

We work with the diplomatic community and other organisations such as the Canberra Business Chamber to bring in trade delegations. These trade delegations usually target particular region and focus on a key industry sector.

The Canberra Business Chamber also:

• qualifies enquiries
• proactively targets inbound opportunities
• manages program development and delivery for inbound delegation visits.

Office of International Engagement

The Office of International Engagement (OIE) connects Canberra-based businesses and potential partners in the industry sectors where Canberra has strengths.
