Ready to lock in some laughs for 2018?

An annual tradition of the Canberra events calendar, the Canberra Comedy Festival returns in spectacular fashion in March 2018 with the full line up of shows announced today.

The Flagship festival event, The Opening Night Gala will return on Tuesday 20 March and throughout the festival, Canberra will host a huge contingent of international stars, including the Canberra Comedy Festival Debut of Ross Noble (UK), and many more favourites including; Arj Barker (USA), Urzila Carlson (SA, pictured), Stephen K Amos (UK), Sh!t-Faced Shakespeare (UK), Daniel Sloss (SCO), Rich Hall (USA), and John Hastings (CAN).

The Festival will also feature a huge bunch of returning Canberra favourites and Australian stars of stage and screen, featuring; Dave Hughes, Nazeem Hussain, Joel Creasey, Cal Wilson, Tommy Little, Dave Thornton, Claire Hooper, Dilruk Jayasinha, Nath Valvo, Becky Lucas, Luke Heggie, Nick Cody, The Stevenson Experience, Damien Power, and James Smith.

As always, a strong line-up of local and rising stars will also be an integral part of the festival including Tom Gibson, Simon Taylor, Chris Ryan, Andrew and Danny Bensley, ACT Like A Lady, Pilot Season, Mark Swivel, Josh Earl, Anthony Tomic, Cameron James, Yianni Agisilaou, Greg Kimball and Jeremy Margosis, Luke Bernie, Harris Stuckey and James McMahon, Vanessa Conlin, and Look at me now Mum!

Also returning to develop local comedy talent are the national comedy competition RAW Comedy 2018, and the school-aged comedy competition Class Clowns.

“For the 2018 festival we have managed to pull together the biggest and best line-up that we have ever had,” says Artistic Director Benjamin Stevenson. “Featuring the biggest stars in the world and smorgasbord of specially curated rising stars, the 2018 Comedy Festival promises a hilarious and varied line-up with something for everyone!”
