Story by CBR Canberra

GoTerra is a Canberra business turning local food waste into livestock feed for farmers. The company use Black Soldier Flies as ‘bioconversion engineers’ to turn food waste into feed for chickens, pigs, fish and pet food. This means the amount of food waste going into landfill is decreased, creating a sustainable livestock feed and reducing costs for the local community.

GoTerra is a Canberra start-up that received help from the ACT Government’s Innovation Connect grant funding. The grant is designed to help Canberra-based businesses develop innovative products and services. Watch GoTerra’s video below to find out more about what they do and why Canberra is the place to start something great.
