Story by CBR Canberra

Christmas is only a few weeks away Canberra! Which means a) we’ve hit peak shopping season and b) we need to remind you not to panic.

While most people will be storming the malls to find that perfect gift for their loved one, why not skip the crowds and pick up a unique gift at one of the many Christmas markets happening around Canberra in December.

You’ll be supporting local artists, designers and business owners as well as ensuring there’s no awkward present double-ups on Christmas morning! That’s what we call a win-win.

ANU School of Art and Design Annual Glass Sale – Friday 1 December, 12-1:30pm

In time for Christmas is the ANU School of Art and Design’s Annual Glass Sale. Here, you will find exhibition quality one-offs and high end glass designs all handmade by students, staff and graduates. To make it even better, all proceeds from the sale contribute to the ongoing funding of the workshop, so by simply purchasing a piece of beautiful handmade glass, you are also supporting our local community of budding glass artists.
