What better way to send off March than with a weekend jam-packed full of some of Canberra’s festival month’s finest events.

It’s been a busy month in the nation’s capital, with a blockbuster calendar of events bringing the city to life every day, as part of the CBR 31 Days festival.

Canberrans and visitors alike have been treated to an enviable array of events, exhibitions, shows, festivals and markets, with something to keep everyone entertained.

Luckily, it’s not over yet.

If you haven’t had the chance to experience the CBR 31 Days festival yet, there is one last weekend offering plenty of ways to excite your senses, tantalise your tastebuds and let your imagination run wild.

Laneway! Streetfood! Party!


Good Food Month is bringing Laneway! Streetfood! Party! to Civic this Saturday. Experience the inner-city lanes with an abundance of street food, beer and ciders.

Let your hair down and have a dance with the live music and wrap your lips around the delicious food offerings such as Bovine and Swine’s BBQ beef brisket sandwiches, Chur Burger’s crispy pork belly sliders and What the Pho’s Vietnamese Spring Rolls.

Greenway Open Air Cinema


Grab your blankets and popcorn and head to the Greenway Open Air Cinema this Saturday night to watch Avengers: Age of Ultron (the sequel to The Avengers movie).

CBR Brave, our local ice hockey team, will be cooking up a BBQ and Café 2 U is serving coffee and cakes to keep you nice and warm. You can also bring your own picnic!

Harvest Festival

Be sure not to miss one of the blockbuster events on CBR 31 Days calendar is the 9th annual Canberra Harvest Festival on this Saturday!

The Environment Centre will be cooking gourmet, organic food made entirely from local produce while local producers showcase their harvest, and community organisations conduct FREE sustainable living workshops.

Where: Canberra Environment Centre (near the National Museum of Australia)

When: 2-6 pm, 25 March 2017

Afro-Latin Festival

Canberra embraces its cultural diversity with this one day festival celebrating Afro-Latin music, dance and culture in the CBD.

Take a dance or percussion workshop and listen to the live music and street jam during the day. When the sun goes down the festival heats up with a concert and Cuban salsa after party until late. For line-up details head to the Facebook page.

Canberra Comedy Festival


Spare some time for a comedy show at the Canberra Comedy Festival and get a giggle in this weekend!

The last weekend of the festival is bringing in some big-name Australian comedy stars including; Dave Hughes, Nick Cody, Luke Heggie, The Stevenson Experience, Tommy Little and Hannah Gadsby.

It doesn’t stop there, with plenty of local comedians too; Ian Worst & Sean Morgan, six of Canberra’s funniest female comedians in a show called Girls can’t take a joke, and Andrew and Danny Bensley in their show Three men and a baby, to name a few!
