Have you heard the news? Canberra’s leading street food festival, The Forage, is moving to Dairy Road in Fyshwick.

The move signals an exciting new era for the event, but one thing is definitely going to stay the same – delicious dishes are still at the heart of this festival.

The Forage is Canberra’s only dedicated street food event showcasing and celebrating our local (and surrounds) cafes, restaurants, food trucks, bars, wineries & breweries. Their mission is to give local businesses an opportunity to get creative and showcase their awesome culinary skills to the community.

This foodie festival has a street party atmosphere with a live music lounge, table tennis and a giant games pitch. Fuel up for a day of socialising with these must-eats.

Adorable steam buns from Natural Nine

It is not often that we describe food as ‘adorable’. Delicious and nutritious, sure – those are normally words we commonly associate with yum cha, but we promise you this dish is utterly adorable. In fact, it’s almost too cute to eat.   Natural Nine is making their debut at The Forage with steam buns (savoury and sweet options are available).

Cheesecake Cones from Get Whipped

It’s not ice cream in a cone, it’s CHEESECAKE in a cone! Get Whipped Cheesecake Cones are bringing back some of their regular flavours but they are also creating some new ones just for The Forage. Got your stretchy pants out yet?

Brownie cookies from The Hungry Brown Cow

Look who’s back! Old mate Will from The Hungry Brown Cow. These soft fudgy brownie sandwiches are filled with a variety of different flavours. You all know the drill with these brownie cookies, if you don’t get in quick, you’ll 100% miss out.

Chanchito from Mr Papa

Mmmmmm, tender grilled pork belly, golden sweet potato and salsa criolla served on a crusty bread roll. Ok, don’t go telling anyone that Mr. Papa – Canberra is our favourite because we might get in trouble from a few of our other vendors. But when they dish up Peruvian food like this and have a smile like that, we are sold!

Cheesy deliciousness from the Wandering Woodfire Oven

Wandering Woodfire Oven pizza is back – and as per usual it blows our minds that they are able to they have a mobile, woodfire oven! Gluten free, vegetarian, vegan and dairy free are all available with our mate Wes and his team. Made fresh to order, there is something for everyone!

Cold brew tea and coffee from Bellerophon Coffee

Small batch, speciality grade cold brew tea & coffee Bellerophon Coffee is produced right here in Canberra. Alex and his team will be pulling brews for you on at The Forage and will even have some tasty surprises alongside Underground Spirits!

The Autumn Forage is dishing up delicious eats Saturday 6 April from 2 pm – 7 pm at the Dairy Road Precinct, Fyshwick.
